Tinubu holds first meeting with security, intelligence chiefs

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently hosting a meeting with security chiefs, the first since his assumption of office as President.

Among those attending the meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, are the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.

 

Others are the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.

It would be recalled that the President met with the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, at the Villa on Wednesday.

Tinubu, upon his inauguration on Monday, noted that security, health, education and infrastructural development would form his major priorities as President.
