FG asks immigration to beef up security at borders

The federal government has directed the comptroller-general of the nigerian immigration service, carolinewura-ola, to pay urgent attention to the protection of the country’s land, air and water borders. It specifically directed that more personnel should be deployed to the nation’s borders for effective protection.

 

The minister of interior, olubunmitunji-ojo, disclosed this during the decoration of the comptroller-general and six deputy comptrollers-generals in abuja. The minister also urged the newly decorated officers to prioritise the welfare of nigerians in need of travel documents.

Newsmen reports that with the decoration of wura-ola, is the 18th substantive immigration cg. The minister also decorated the newly appointed six deputy comptroller-general of the service – dcgusmanauna, dcgbabangidausman, dcgzainablawal, among others.
